|“The main interest of my work is not concerned with the treatment of neuroses but rather with the approach to the numinous. But the fact that the approach to the numinous is the real therapy, and inasmuch as you attain to the numinous experience you are released from the curse of pathology. Even the very disease takes on a numinous character.” – Carl Jung|
Carl Jung, the famous Swiss psychotherapist, was a pioneer, an explorer, a mystic and a visionary. The territory he explored is the human psyche. As I have traveled the winding road of my own journey I have found Jung’s work to be a trustworthy map I can follow.
In Jungian therapy, we access your own inner wisdom to create a strong, vital relationship between your inner and outer world. Your heart is a sanctuary and personal refuge. It is a container of protection that allows you to be vulnerable and strong at the same time, and to trust the ground of your own being.
Jungian therapy is about connecting with this deepest part of our heart, the part of us that is connected to the Eternal. The goal of Jungian psychotherapy is to live a life that harmonizes the mundane with the mystical. Our life journey is about expanding into something bigger than ourselves, about entering the mystery.
To Carl Jung, a full and meaningful life could not be gained through the material alone. He saw it as a spiritual journey where we move towards wholeness, not perfection.
I have felt the joy of this mystery in my own life, and I have seen it rise in the hearts of those I guide. There is no need to have an inclination towards one spiritual path to gain from Jung’s wisdom. The journey is yours, and I will meet you wherever you are.
